I talk to chiropractors a lot about starting new habits. What can you do today to change your practice forever? Simple…start a new habit.
But there is a flip side to that story. Many chiropractors don’t need to start a new habit as much as they need to STOP an old one. Many chiropractors have developed really bad habits over the years and it’s those bad habits that are holding you back.
Do you have the bad habit of starting things and stopping them without ever generating results? Do you have the bad habit of trying to do too many things at once? Do you have the bad habit of spending money you don’t have to buy things you don’t need? STOP IT!
Listen…we all have bad habits. I’m not saying that I do everything correctly. I don’t. I am saying that the more bad habits you have the more your practice growth with struggle. Feeling stuck? Maybe you need to ditch a bad habit or two.
So my challenge for you this week is to identify 1 bad habit (just 1) and commit to STOPPING it. Set up some boundaries. Make some rules for yourself. Avoid the situation where you make that mistake. Don’t just say you are going to stop…be proactive about stopping.
Sure, you will fall back into your old patterns at times. No one is perfect. But if you identify a bad habit, and commit to making a change…set some boundaries…you will be one step closer to the practice and the success that you are hoping for.
Practice Strength Test
I recently created a resource called “The Practice Strength Test.” It’s a pretty simple test, but the information you get from it will really help bring clarity to your practice. If you haven’t done it yet, I want to encourage you to take the test.
